Ĭheck MTGGoldfish, they have the metagame and top decks and online prices. You could swap between legacy and modern as well. Even if it means playing a worse deck UW control or a combo that takes ages to execute isn't worth playing unless you have an insane winrate.Ĭan someone indicate a good deck, not much expensive in tixīurn is ~200 tix and is a fast deck. You will want to play a fast deck ie burn, infect, ad nauseam. Faster deck =- more games played = more profit. They have the best EV, which you can view here. Play only Competitive Modern/Legacy league. If you enjoy and are good at 1v1 commander that is the absolute best format to grind on MTGO, games are generally much faster than modern/legacy. It is not easy and it is very time consuming. I have grinded MTGO for money before, cashed out a few thousand tix(which included getting lucky on buying/selling at the right time) over ~6 months. But it's a great way to get good at magic and maybe expand you collection.īefore you get into it keep in mind decks will cost $200-500 and at a 60% winrate, which is insanely hard to have you will be earning about $7 per league(5 matches) It's magical with all the hype, spoilers, reprints, etc. I don't think grinding is a good way to make profit, if you want to make profit start learning the MODO economy and you can make lot's of tix buying low and selling high. To be clear grinding is not that easy and sometimes you'll have bad luck or many losses so be ready. If I would start from nothing I would get burn stomping or bogles and just start grinding the leagues, if you make some profit get more pauper decks and after that start saving for modern. Just to notice, pauper just have friendly leagues so the player level is higher than modern friendly so if you have a modern deck maybe it's better to start with modern, burn and bogles are good decks for the meta and are cheaper than most modern decks. If you have a good win rate you can go "infinite" quite fast and won't be spending that much. And it's all about practice too, you will get better and start raising your win rate, at the start it can be hard and maybe you'll have to spend some money to keep going. I have no experience with grinding but I was talking with some guys that make 600+ tix a month and they said that the secret is to have 2 or 3 decks that are fast, like burn, bogles and stomp so you play through more leagues and won't get bored with the same deck all the time.
